Stellar line up of winners at the 2023 REPRESENT! Indigenous Sports Awards

Minor sports feature on winners' podium

The inaugural REPRESENT! Indigenous Sports Awards saw a list of well deserving Indigenous sportsmen and women, leaders and volunteers acknowledged and celebrated for their achievements. Minor sports featured heavily among the finalists with many taking out the coveted prize. Entries were received from across the Northern Territory with two winners from Alice Springs.

The 2023 winners were:

Indigenous Volunteer of the Year - Carol Stanislaus (AFL)

Charlie King Indigenous Inspirational Sporting Leader of the Year - Timmy Duggan (Hoops4Health)

Indigenous Junior Sportswoman of the Year - Lalwa May (Equestrian)

Indigenous Junior Sportsman of the Year - Cooper Drew (BMX)

Indigenous Sportswoman of the Year - Skye Lampton (Golf)

Indigenous Sportsman of the Year - Charlie Maher (Marathon)

It’s a very special year for the NT City2Surf with the 50th edition in 2023.

We are proud to partner with the Darwin Game Fishing Club (DGFC) again in 2023 to deliver the week-long event on the Daly River. We’re supporting DGFC and more than 50 teams fishing the competition from 1 to 5 May, as well as the Junior Classic on 29 April. There’s so much happening: Fishing throughout the day Awarding of Champion Angler Dozens of raffle prizes Fishing talks Entertainment in the evenings We’re pumped to be part of this event!
