After a 5-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the Nusantara Foundation Inc re-vitalised the Pesona Indonesia Festival at the Darwin Waterfront.
The day included a parade of traditional costumes, gamelan performances, dancing, singing and musicians from Darwin, interstate and overseas.
The strong historical ties between the Macassans and the Yolngu people of East Arnhemland was also showcased with a haunting posthumous peformance by award winning singer Gurrumul.
